Rocasea is a condition that more often affects adults especially women at the ages of 30 to 50 years. Also referred to as acne rocasea, this condition can be a very serious infection and normally affects facial parts such as the nose, the forehead, cheeks or the chin. What causes this condition has not yet been established although various health experts point enlargement of the blood vessels in the face due to blood and heart related complications as the main cause.

Research indicates that rosacea is hereditary. This means that it can run down the family tree if your parents or their parents were victims of the same disorder. There are three well known forms of rosacea. The first subtype is called Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea in which there is permanent flushing or redness and those affected blush easily. There can be some itching or burning sensation on the skin and sometimes tiny blood vessels are visible. The other is Papulopustular Rosacea in which there is permanent redness accompanied with re bumps containing pus.

Some researchers have put forward a theory that rosacea is hereditary. Thus, if someone in direct lineage above you was a victim of the disorder, then you are also likely to get it at some point. There are different strains of rosacea and the three mains are as follows; Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea which brings a permanent state of flushing and blushing becomes part of normal life. A burning sensation and an irritating itch are the most common symptoms of the strain with blood vessels at times becoming very pronounced and visible.

There is also Phymatous Rosacea which causes the nose to enlarge as if swollen. Blood vessels can also be showing at the surface of the skin. The skin in the affected area becomes thick while it may also affect other areas such as eyelids and the earlobes. Ocular rocasea is yet another type of this skin condition. It causes the eyelids and the eyes to become dry and irritating with redness.

Although it is believed that there is no actual treatment of rocasea, the issue remains one of the most debatable health treatments among various experts. However, if the symptoms of rocasea are diagnosed earlier the condition can easily be contained. There are other numerous practices that you can adhere to make sure that you are safe from rocasea infection. For instance, it is advisable to stay away from extremely cold weather condition which is believed to be one of the major causes of the disorder.
